Auto activate task when prerequesite tasks completed?

Since a task is automatically set to inactive if it is assigned a prerequisite task, I expected it to be automatically marked active when the prerequisite task or tasks where marked completed. This doesn't appear to be supported. Is this supported somehow?

From bug report:

There are two start dates, one is "planned start" the other is "actual start". The latter is marked only manually or when effort tracking is started for that task.

What you need to do is mark a "planned start" for the task. Then it will stay hidden even if the planned start is in the past until the prerequisites are done. As soon as the prereqs are done, it will show up marked "late" but only if it is past the planned start.
