Can I do this with templates?

Asked by Bicharejo

I want create a task (project 1) a subtask 1, 10 days before and subtask 2, five days before project 1.

Example: if I put the Project 1 30/07/2014 subtask 1 automatically 20/07/2014 and subtask 2 automatically 07/25/2014

I hope I explained well.

Thanks.

No, dates from templates are always relative to the template instantiation time, so it would be possible in theory to have a template that creates a task due today, with a subtask due 5 days later, but then if you change the parent's due date that won't change the subtask's.

Ok, Thanks

I think it would be a good choice for future updates.

I have something in mind that will address this (and many other things), but I miss the time to work on it right now.
