How to mark a task as overdue and not going to be done

I need to mark an overdone task for which I am not going to or be able to do something else. I do not want to delete this task, just mark it as a task which is not completed and will to be completed .

Sorry it isn't doable presently. You could make a category to tag items though. You can't currently choose to hide a category (that's another request), but you could export those selected items to a .tsk file you archive.
