organize sub-tasks

Asked by Vernon Herridge

Task Coach is just what I need. I have created a number of sub-tasks under various tasks which I need to order in a specific way - either time related, alphabetic or numerical sequence. I would expect to be able to drag and drop to the correct place or to perform a sort for alphabetic order. Is this possible?

You can't (yet) sort tasks by hand. You can sort them according to any displayed column by clicking on this column in the task viewer. This sorts all tasks, not only subtasks.

It answers my query and I look forward to the day I can sort tasks to the order I want. Currently the search does not appear to save on exit so I have to set everything up again.

Hi, please note that you can sort as you wish by first sorting by the priority column. Then, simply increase (ctrl-I)and decrease (ctrl-D) priority for each item to set the order.
