Exporting effort tracking information

Asked by launchpad-rob

When I complete time sheets on a weekly and monthly basis (different timescales for different projects), then I select the categories I'm interested in, then go to View -> New Viewer -> Effort. Then I can select to view by month or by week. However if I then want to export data for a particular month or week, the only way I can find of doing that is to cut the other months or weeks from the effort viewer screen, this seems to also delete the actual time spent on the tasks in the other months, which obviously ruins my historical record (or if I'm completing the timesheet half way through the following month, I can actually lose data for the current month whilst reporting the last, which is even worse).

Is there another way to select only a particular week or month to export the effort for?

Thanks!

Sorry, we need to implement this:
https://taskcoach.uservoice.com/forums/26465-desktop-version-windows-linux-mac-of-task-coach/suggestions/342012-filter-tasks-and-efforts-by-date-range

Otherwise, you can export all the data to csv first and then use a spreadsheet program to filter down to the selected range.
