Bulk removal of dependencies and prerequisites

Asked by The Titletrack

I've got 299 tasks, and Task Coach has slowed to the point of uselessness for me. (~5 seconds to open a task). Is there a way to bulk-remove all dependencies and prerequisites? I'd like to try that to see if performance improves. I'm using 1.3.16.

Nope, no way to do this. I doubt this will have any effect on performance anyway. I'm working on a performance issue related to effort tracking; do you use this feature ?

Thank you for your rapid response. I have all of the features disabled, including effort tracking. Two more data points as follows. Point 1: I've also noticed that a task A that shows up has having a prerequisite task B does not have a check mark by any task in the under the prerequisite tab of task A. Point 2: I'm on a 1.8 GHz Celeron. I am I just expecting too much?

Re Point 1: I can't replicate this on Mac OS X with release 1.3.17. Please create a small task file that shows the problem and open a bug report with that task file as attachment. Please also attach your TaskCoach.ini file and mention your platform and Task Coach version.

Re Point 2: Task Coach will never be super fast (too much features for that) but if it doesn't work smoothly with a few 100 tasks we will try to improve that.

Can you help with this problem?
