How do I view time spent on a task?

I was able to start tracking time on a task and to stop tracking the time but I can't figure out where to view how much time was logged.

Right-click the header of the task viewer and select Budget => Time spent. This will create a new column displaying the time spent. You can also use the View => New viewer => Effort for a task menu entry to display efforts for the currently selected task.

When the task is expanded the value in the "Time spent" column is for that task itself. When the task is collapsed the value is the total time spent for that task and all of its subtasks, recursively.
