Support across multiple operating systems

Asked by Amanda Bright

I have a windows machine as my main desktop but use a Mac when I'm traveling. I want to install Task Coach on a USB or Passport Drive and use it with my Windows machine when I'm at home but with my mac when I travel -- can I do that? And are there any special things I need to do to make sure it works?

You don't have to have Task Coach itself on a USB drive. Just install Task Coach both on your PC and Mac and save the task file on the USB drive (or Dropbox share or whatever). The task file should open in both versions, except maybe if you use custom fonts. That's my actual setup; I use Task Coach on Mac at home and Linux at work, using the same task file.
