Attaching documents to a task

Asked by Amanda Bright

Can I attach documents to a task? I tried to attach an article in a pdf file but it didn't seem to work. This is fairly key for me as I try to organize reading articles in tasks that I can then read on the plane. I also want to be able to attach notes about the article as subtasks. I also need to be able to attach images etc so I can have all the pieces I need to write an article in the task or its subtasks.

I travel a lot and so being able to organize this way and work withing the task is critical to working on things when I am traveling on a plane.

You should be able to attach any kind of file to a task by:

 * Dropping the file on the task in a task viewer
 * Dropping the file on the "Attachments" panel in the task editor dialog
 * Explicitely from the "Attachments" panel in the task editor

If any of those doesn't work, please open a bug report on SourceForge.

Also note that the files are not copied, merely referenced so if you delete or move them they won't be accessible from within Task Coach anymore.

Can you help with this problem?
