How do I make a backup?

You suggest making a backup before updating TaskCoach, but I don’t know where the data file is located, so I can’t figure out how to back it up.

You picked a location when you saved the file for the first time. You can see which folder that is by looking at the title bar of the Task Coach main window.

I saw that file, but it was so small I didn’t think that could possibly be the one! Before I updated to 1.1, I just exported everything, figuring that if anything went terribly wrong, I probably could import it rather than having to start from scratch. Nice program, and I will probably get the iPad version when I get my iPad (or I could get it now for my iTouch, but I might as well wait). Thanks for the quick response.
