The templates are located in (until version 1.3.23 included):

  C:\Documents and Settings\<yourname>\Application Data\TaskCoach if you're on Windows XP
  C:\Users\<yourname>\Application Data\Roaming\TaskCoach if you're on Windows Vista or Windows 7
  /Users/<yourname>/.TaskCoach if you're on Mac OS X
  /home/<yourname>/.TaskCoach if you're on GNU/Linux
  <installation directory>\Data\settings\taskcoach-templates for Portable Task Coach

or in (starting with version 1.3.24):

  C:\Documents and Settings\<yourname>\Application Data\TaskCoach if you're on Windows XP

Note: starting with OS X Snow Leopard (10.6), the Finder hides the Library folder. You can still explore it: launch the Finder, go to your home directory. Type Shift+Cmd+G and enter "Library" (without the quotes).
