Searching by component some components aren't shown properly

Asked by Kazeatari

Probably I messed up something with the font... I'm not too sure, however, when I search by components there are 4 components not properly shown... this is a pic http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/9121/immagineybd.jpg

There is a font I should (re)set to solve this problem?

Moreover sometimes some components aren't displayed in the detailed view... usually this is due to the font, but then again clicking on the magnifying lens allows to view the component (it seems arial is autmatically used by the program).
However sometimes this doesn't happen... I tried to exemplify the problem in this picture:

Once again... what can I do about this?^^

Thanks in advance!

(I hope my question still makes sense, despite my bad english)

For the first image, you need some extended fonts installed that include these components (try to look for sun-exta and sun-extb on Google).

The second image is because Tagaini still lacks information for some kanji. There are few of them and this is being fixed. Actually once all the components are available your first problem will also be solved without extra fonts, as I will be able to render them directly from our data, without any extra font.

Thank you for your reply^^
I've just installed the fonts, but this hasn't solved the problem atm... maybe I need to set those fonts in the preferences as... what? "Main writing" of the "Results view"?

Thanks

Normally no, the font should be used for these glyphs automatically. How did you install them? Have you tried a reboot, just in case?

I've simply put them in the folder /windows/fonts.
I've tried to reboot (and I tried to upgrade tagaini to ver. 0.8.85 as you told me in the bug discussion), but nothing has changed.

I know nothing about Windows, but I guess the way to install fonts is slightly different:

Well, that's for windows XP, while I use windows Vista. However I've found the right way and installed them again (it's basically the same thing: usually windows/font folder would be hidden, probably that's why they tought of another way starting from control panel, but in the end it shows the same questione "would you like to install...?" ...so even before couldn't be wrong).
Unfortunately the problem is stil unsolved...(-.-)''

Thx for the reply ^__^
