ETSI SOL001 Scaling operation support? (openstack vnflcm scale)

Asked by Hariom Sharma on 2020-12-16

I am using the example VNF package from the tacker samples.

https://github.com/openstack/tacker/tree/master/samples/vnf_packages

VNF instantiation is successful. As a next step, I am trying the VNF scaling, but nothing happens when I execute this command. There is no error returned and no logs printed in the logs.

openstack vnflcm scale --type SCALE_OUT --aspect-id worker_instance --number-of-steps 1 47236dd4-2a3a-45a0-bfdf-2f21ea1c8bde

Please let me know if the scale operation is supported or under the works. My tacker version shows 1.4.0

1.4.0

Sorry for my late reply. Thank you for your feedback.

We had a bug [1] in scale operation but now it’s fixed with the patch [2]. Could you try it again with the master repository? Also, let me note that the sale operation is now only supported with UserData VNF Package [3]. The new use case document for scale will be available soon [4].
