Does Tacker support ETSI SOL 003 specification for communication with an orchestrator ? Also - does Tacker support VMWare based VIm (vCloudDirector) ???

Asked by Venkatesh

Hi Guys,

I have more than one question on this topic.

Want to know the following on Tacker.

1. What is the level of compliance between ETSI Specification for Or-Vnfm and Ve-vnfm-em/vnf ( SOL 003 and SOL 002 in specific) and Tacker ??/
2. Does Tacker work well with VmWare based environment ( like vCloudDirector as VIM) ?
3. Licensing model of Tacker can be elaborated and any links that is available to read detailed information

Please answer this information with the latest available Tacker release and share roadmap in case if some of them are in captured in future release.

thanks
Venky

Hi Venkatesh,

For your questions, I answer 2 of them

2. Tacker does not support VmWare as VIM. There is one blue print for that, but no process by now
(https://blueprints.launchpad.net/tacker/+spec/vmware-as-vim)

3. Tacker is ont of official projects on OpenStack, I think you can read this https://governance.openstack.org/tc/reference/licensing.html

Hope that helps you
