Cannot write a restore to /dev/sda/

Asked by Andrew Fry

Hi all, sorry for the noob question here but I'm stuck.

I have made a complete backup ISO of Kali Linux 2 that is running on my laptop. I have VMware Workstation running on another machine and I have made a VM that boots to the ISO created in SystemBack. I am choosing "Boot System Installer" but I get stuck at the part where you chose what disk/partition to write to. I've made the vdisk 60 GB's, which is bigger than the physical partition I backed up...yet I still cannot continue. The "next" button is simply grayed out.

Any ideas on this? Thanks!

Thanks, Kendek. I have already tried to do that I think...do you have a screen shot maybe?

Thanks, hmmm....I must be doing something wrong. I do not have these screens. I am booting to the ISO. I will test it and try to get screen shots...

Thanks so much @Kendek! I was able to set a *mount point* of / when I tested on a real machine (instead of a VM), so I think I'm good to go now! :)
