Can't make first backup

Asked by Bob

Error = "The Restore Point has been aborted! ... There has been critical changes in the file system during this operation"

Trying to use systemback on a triple boot system- windows 10, windows 7, and linux mint (using systemback in linux obviously)

I have another hard drive with just windows 10 and linux mint and systemback works just fine on that system

I've looked through your help files- found a couple of threads, ran systemback from the terminal, but didn't know how to bring up the error report- one says to use the following in a terminal "/usr/lib/systemback/sbsustart systemback" which i do - it brings up the systemback menu- I try to create a backup, it stops at 11% just like before, gives me the error message at beginning of this thread- bit there is no info in the terminal for what is causing the error

Please try to start the Systemback with the following command:

DBGLEV=3 systemback-sustart

and try to create a new restore point. After you get the error message, please show me the terminal output.

well here's what happened- last night i tried timeshift to see if it could make a restore point- With timeshift- i left the option to install grub 2, and it made the backup fine- the grub2 was set to sad which was my windows partition (windows was set to boot for the flag- but i somehow would still get the linux boot menu upon booting- I'm new to all this, so I'm not sure if htis is normal or not?) Anyways- just out of curiosity, I tried the systemback and this time it worked

Apparently Grub 2 needed to be reinstalled- but if so, why was I still getting a linux/grub boot menu upon booting?

Anyways- it appears to be fixed, so in the future, if someone runs into this situation, this might be something to try (maybe systemback can reinstall Grb2 in it's 'system repair' to fix the problem too- I'm going to be picking up another hard drive and will be running windows 10 windows 7 and linux mint on it as well- I'll try using systemback's ''system repair' next time to see if it works-)
