Create Systemback Copy of System for a Friend to Install

Asked by MBWD

Hi Kendek. This is still the best Linux program out there in my opinion. My question:

I have a heavily customized version of Ubuntu 16.04 that is running flawlessly on my computer. I want to share it with a friend in it's exact state. I thought Systemback might be a great way to do this. But the Live System is created (not surprisingly) with my login info.

Is there a way within Systemback to create a dummy login?

Or (as I expect) is the only way to do this to (A) change the login and password in Ubuntu, then (B) make a Systemback Live System, then (C) change the login and password back in Ubuntu?

Thanks.

Yes, if you want to share your personal system, just follow these steps:
1. Create a restore point.
2. Change the system, remove any personal data and machine specific settings and drivers (proprietary drivers...).
3. Create the Live system and test it.
4. If the Live is done and applicable, just restore the system to the initial state.
