Systemback live with LVM+separate boot partition

Asked by boomboom

Hi All,

I've been using systemback for a long time now, to create customized Lubuntu LiveCDs, always worked great. Today, I've reinstalled my Lubuntu, and now systemback cannot create those anymore. Errors out every time, without any details. Except for two big differences, everything else is the same with this new installation as with the old.
1: LVM. The old installation was on a regular logical partition (MBR disk). The new one is a partition in an LVM Volume Group.
2: Separate /boot partition. With this new installation, I've separated /boot to its own partition (for future additional distros)

So, the question is: is anything known as to systemback working (or not working) with LVM and/or separate /boot?
It's possible that it would work with either, but not the combination. If anyone can say for sure that it does work with either of these (either LVM or separate /boot) then I can assume that it's the other one that's the problem

Any help/info?

Thanks,
Benjamin

Please try to start the latest (1.8.400) Systemback with the following command:

DBGLEV=3 /usr/bin/systemback-sustart

After the error, copy the output from the terminal to here (paste.ubuntu.com).

Ok, here's the output http://paste.ubuntu.com/16454837/

Another piece I might add, is that it errors right at the starting. After ~1minute, maybe less. It does not get to create the .sblive image. Nothing gets created in /home

Oh, this is a bug in the latest Systemback because the Snap packages support. I fix this problem soon in the version 1.8.401.
Thanks for the reporting.
