how to make backup from any partition or root directory ?

Asked by aleksei

Hi Mr. Kendek

I've done many video tutorials in Russian language about Systemback
http://aleks-pc-advices.blogspot.co.uk/p/blog-page_91.html
Most of them quite understandable without translation
Russianspeaking linux fans now know your wonderful program and use it.
Systemback works fine on Linux Mint, Ubuntu, Debian, ElementaryOS, Linux Lite.

In the process of testing one question get in my mind -
how to make backup from any partition or root directory ?

Yes, I mean any other distros not supported by Systemback.
If I can pick any folder, home, root directory - I can have solid backups everything what I want.

Is it possible to make for users to pick any folders, please?

Regards

Aleksei Romanov

The Systemback saves only the currently running system with user configuration files. The restore point creation from other - offline - systems is not possible. The general data backup is also not a goal. But an offline system can easily be backup or restore with other tools.
The application uses Ubuntu and Debian specific things, these (and some other things) limits the compatibility.
