Can Systemback be used to make my own Linux distro or is it strictly for my hardware devices and nothing else?

I want to make my own Linux distro and Systemback seems to be a very good option.

If you do not using any hardware specific settings or closed source drivers, the created Live system will be universal (as the Ubuntu installer). But only the own installer is supported. So if you want to install the Live system, you need to use the Systemback, instead of the Ubiquity.

Can you help with this problem?
