Restore Point Creation Failure: "There has been critical changes in the file system during this operation"

Asked by MBWD

I receive the "There has been critical changes in the file system during this operation" error while running Systemback's "Create Restore Point" function. The restore point runs to 100% complete before throwing the error.

Having read some other posts with the same error, I ran Systemback using terminal and the comand: /usr/lib/systemback/sbsustart systemback.

Here is the error reported:

Error:

An error occurred while cloning the following directory:

  /media/USB_Stick

 Target directory:

  /home/Systemback/.S00_2015-08-27,08.14.56/media/USB_Stick

It appears that Systemback is attempting to include in the restore point the /media/USB_Stick directory. However, the directory is not accessible because it is a network drive.

Assuming this is the error, is there any way to exclude this directory?

Thanks, as always, for this great software.

The Systemback saves the directory under /media if it is an existing mount point, mounted by /etc/fstab file. So is this not a normal directory? Currently the only solution if you remove (or using #) this line in the fstab file.

The directory is in /etc/fstab, but if I am not on my home network, the drive will not be mounted (it is a USB drive connected to the router and used as a mini-internal cloud storage). I guess I will either comment the line in fstab.

The restore information does appear to completely save at ~/Systemback.S00-2015.... But the restore point itself is not in the Systemback GUI.
