Can customized settings be copied over from /etc/skel?

Asked by GMaq

Hi,

Kudos and congratulations on Systemback! I am a long time user of Remastersys for creating a customized distribution and was wondering how Systemback handles the system customizations? Is whatever is present in the user's home folder configuration files placed in the created restore point or is it possible to place customizations in /etc/skel and have them copied over?

I realize that Systemback isn't explicitly a distro creation tool but am just curious about it's capabilities in this regard. Best Regards and keep up the great work on this valuable tool!

Yes, but this is not default at installation time. If you clear the "Transfer user configuration files" checkbox, the original user files are not copied, but the items from /etc/skel directory are copied.
(But anyway thanks for the donation. :-)
