Will there be .deb files for the new version?

Asked by Joe Agrillo

Debian does not recommend using PPAs. The old stable included .deb files. Example "systemback-gui_0.7.7.501_all.deb"
Could you give directions on how to install the 1.0.0_stable version on Debian? Thanks

Systemback 1.0.0 is compatible with Debian testing (jessie), because using Qt 5.2+).
Just download the Install Pack:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/systemback/files/1.0.0_stable

and run install.sh installer script with root privileges in terminal.
I wrote 'readme.txt' file (next update will include):

This Install Pack contains the Systemback Debian installation packages.
These packages are compatible with Ubuntu 14.04+ and Debian testing (jessie).

To install the program just run 'install.sh' installer script with root privileges in terminal, like this:

 sudo ./install.sh

If the installation is successful, the following message appears:

 Systemback installation is successful.

If the installation is failed, you will receive the following error message:

 Systemback installation is failed!

Or, just download the source, and rebuild the Debian packages with debuild command. You can be sure that it will perfectly adapt to the system.

Oops...In SolydX, which is based on Debian, installing Systemback breaks the update manager. When I try to run the Update Manager it shows an error saying that "Update Manager will not run in a live environment use --force" This is on a fully installed version not a live USB. Same error when trying to run "Device driver manager". Apparently Refracta has the same problem. Several threads on the forum. http://forums.solydxk.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4287 When you get time, could you take a look? Thanks

The live-boot package is a dependency. If these programs are watching this, then I can't do anything with. It's not Systemback fault.
