System76 Serval screen resolution

I've got the new System76 Serval with the 1920x1200 screen. When I present seminars I like to match the resolution of the projector, 1024x768. Using the latest Nvidia driver 180.44 and the nvidia-settings app, I'm only seeing 1280x1024 and 960x540, but no 1024x768 option.

Any ideas how I can set the resolution to 1024x768?

Please provide more info on the brand and model number of your projector. Since we do not have the third-party hardware to test with, this could take some experimentation. Most likely, it will require manual editing of your xorg.conf file.

Thanks for the quick response. I think I may have been a bit unclear. I'm trying to get 1024x768 on the *laptop* screen, regardless of whether a projector is connected or not. I have no problem setting the resolution on the projectors at any of the venues I speak at, but would like my laptop display to also be at 1024.

I see.

I'm not sure how easy that will be to accomplish. It may be possible to hack the xorg.conf file and force that resolution. We would need to experiment with it.

Let's take this one up via email. It will take some back-and-forth to figure it out.
