machine shuts down without warning

Asked by storkk

I recently received my laptop with Feisty Fawn, and performed the upgrade to Gutsy Gibbon. However, there was a problem, and I needed to do a Restore. I performed all the steps, and seemed to have a working system with Gibbon. But now it powers off with no warning, with both battery in as well as AC adapter plugged in. This is not a disciplined shutdown, rather it just goes dead. This has happened 9 or 10 times now, and I'm beginning to worry about it affecting my hard drive

Hello.

Normally, I would address this question here, but I'm going to ask you to email support(at)system76(dot)com.
The reason is that I need your order number and/or name to look up your model/configuration and better serve you. I don't want for your name/order number to be posted here, as your privacy is important to us.

Best,
Tom
