Graphics on boot and wake - scrambled output to external monitor

This may be a bug in the 915 video driver, but I want to see if anyone has fixed it. Sometimes the laptop monitor will go black on wake, but it seems to always work on boot. The scrambling only has happened on the external monitor and only since an update to ubuntu 11.4.

sooo, I finally saw the natty upgrade wiki and once I reinstalled the driver and did a restore the problem is gone. I would note that the restore didn't work in safe-mode, which I forgot I was in. Sorry for any confusion, but I am not seeing how to delete a bug. this is resolved.

Looks like you've go this in your bug report. Marking it invalid was the perfect thing to do. For the question, just mark this as solved.
