Feature request: Default action for different files (.pdf, image files etc.)

As of now, after a search is made on Synapse for an image or a document, I need to go to next pane to select the option of opening the file with its default application. The default action of synapse is to run the file as an application or a script. Can this feature of directly opening documents or media files with the default apps be included? If already there, I couldn't find a method to do so.
