Cant use 1920x1280 resolution in display

Hi,

I recently installed Elementary as a virtual machine using VMware player. My host machine runs Windows 8.1. The installation went perfectly, but I noticed that the screen resolution was not matching my laptop's display. I have encountered this before, so I went to the display settings to adjust it, but my resolution (1920x1080) does not populate in the available list. I haven't had this particular issue with other distros that i've installed, so i'm not sure of the solution. I apologize if this is answered somewhere on the site; I didn't come across it.

I knew based on some similar posts that I would need to work with the xrandr command, but haven't had any experience with it yet. I just resolved this issue by inputting the instructions listed on this webpage, and it worked perfectly :)
