Why we use swift user/group for installation Multiple Multiple Server Swift

Asked by Mehmet Hacısalihoğlu

Why we use swift user/group for installation Multiple Multiple Server Swift Installation? Can we use different user/group?

Instructions for a Multiple Server Swift Installation document is write to chown swift:swift /xxx/xxxxx(exp: chown swift:swift /var/run/swift), but Swift All In One document is write chown <your-user-name>:<your-group-name> /XXX/XXXX(exp chown <your-user-name>:<your-group-name> /mnt/sdb1/*)

I think running as *a* system user is recommend, it doesn't have to be named "swift".

The Swift-All-In-One guide is for development, so the recommend user to run the Swift processes is the developers user. In the multi-node install guide the username "swift" was chosen for consistency.

Can you help with this problem?
