How to recover quarantined objects?

Asked by Mohammed Allauddin

Hi All,
I have an openstack setup, with object replica set to 1. While performing some data tiering operation on objects, observed few files got quarantined. I verified md5sum of that quarantined object with actual object, md5sum of both matched, not sure what caused object to be quarantined. Is there a way to recover quarantined objects?

Thanks in advance

Regards
Mohammed Allauddin

The quarantined object can be copied back to the canonical location on the drive. If it was quarantined though, it is likely that it will get quarantined again. There are a few different reasons that a file can get quarantined. You can search your logs for quarantine to find out when and possibly why it was quarantined. The better option may be to re-upload the file.

Can you help with this problem?
