Metadata searching

I'm working with Swift All in One,and i used this : https://github.com/osaddon/cdmi (link text) to use cdmi. I m able to put,get and delete container and object.I am especially able to insert metadata in an object.
 My question is:how can I search for an object through the metadata?
 there is a function that allows me to do this,without the need to implement it myself?

We currently don't have the capability to filter container listings based on object metadata.

Can you help with this problem?
