Cname lookup not working as expected

Asked by Netmagic Solutions

Hi,

We are running swift 1.5.0 on our UAT setup. We are facing difficulty while setting up cname lookup along with staticweb.

When we set read acl (swift post -r '.r:*'), it allows all the cnames to refer the content. But if we set a specific sub-domain name in the ACL (swift post -r '.r:myobj.xyz.net') then it does not serve the content and throws error 401.

The swift proxy log says :

"Mapped myobj.xyz.net to simplidrive.netmagic.com"

but after that the 401 error occurs.

Please help.

Viral

Hi,

an observation :

Either ACLs with '.r: *' or '.r: -*' work as expected.

If we give any specific domain in ACL, e.g. '.r: allowed.netmagicsolutions.co.in' does not work as expected and it throws error 401 in proxy logs.

We also tried giving ACLs '.r: allowed.netmagicsolutions.co.in','.r: -disallowed.netmagicsolutions.co.in', still both requests to both the domain names throw error 401 in proxy server logs.

Please help.
