What are minimum Hardware requirement for OpenStack?

Hi All,

Can anyone guide me about the Hardware requirements for Compute and Swift installation?

What kind of min CPU is required? [ 2 core, 4 core...]

How much memory is required ? [ 4GB ]

Which are already supported Hardware for OpenStack? [ Any Dell, HP box ]

Is there any Hardware Compatibility list for OpenStack?

For development, I use devstack on a VM(Ubuntu) running on my Dell laptop.
My laptop has 2GB mem, i3 cpu.

I want to setup small demo kind of environment, in which I can server few VM to my testing team, [ near by 3 to 4 VMs]

so they can use VM on the fly, for their dev and test things.

So for such kind of env. what kind of h/w is required?

Just grab any labtop, install virtualbox, install a ubuntu guest in virtual box, clone devstack, ./stack.sh and your done.

FYI, my laptop can easliy run 10 tiny type VMs.
