integrating with other subtitle databases specifically www.thaisubtitle.com

Asked by unomi on 2009-01-18

Hi,
I just installed subdownloader 2.0.9 on ubuntu intrepid and it seems like a very useful tool, unfortunately the online subtitle repositories are still a bit fragmented, opensubtitles doesn't really have a good selection of thai subtitles. How tightly bound is subdownloader to opensubtitles? is it feasible to have it use other repositories in addition to OS?
What is required of the repository server?

Thanks for all the work in the past, present and future.
unomi.

hello unomi, first of all, make sure to talk to the admins of that site and make them agree to do a collaboration with SubDownloader (which is not tied to any site, but for the moment it only has opensubtitles.org).

Once they agree the collaboration (for example, from my side I can give them all the thai subtitles uploaded from SubDownloader, will go to www.thaisubtitle.com too)

Best Regards.
