can you open subdownloader via terminal, writing 'subdownloadr' in it, please? then report here the message which appears there. In this way we can know if is a bug or just a single problem, and so help you.

Thanks

Thanks Alessandro for the quick reply. Excuse my ignorance but I am not computer literate. What do you mean by open "via terminal"? I await your reply. Again, Thank you.

if you are using Ubuntu here is how to launch a terminal window:

1) open the dash (top-left ubuntu logo)
2) type 'terminal', so click on the first icon

or

1) press Ctrl + Alt + t

you should see a black window (is the terminal window). Type 'terminal' in that window and you should see something. So paste all the lines here.
