Alternative to OpenSubtitles

Asked by Luis Alvarado

Since OpenSubtitle added a restriction to download 50 subtitles every 12 hours, is there a way like in XBMC to have alternatives to other subtitle sites. XBMC has a nice list like solosubtitulos, subscene, podnapisi and others.

Hi, still waiting for an answer. Sites like podnapisi include many subtitles not found in opensubtitles and even if I have helped in uploading more than 500 subtitles to opensubtitles there are many in podnapisi that still exist and are very good. Specially for documentaries about health and such.

Hello, actually the connection to Opensubtitles is done trough an API and it requires to submit an special hash of the video + the filesize , if other database would have similar way to retrieve exact matches without having to search by title it will be great. Please let us know about other database to see if they have this.

Thanks Ivan. Do not know if others have this API. I will write to the other sites to see which one offers one (if any).

Can you help with this problem?
