Ubuntu, Compiled from source: Maybe you need to specify another gamepath with '-d /path/to/datadir'?

Asked by Glaudiston Gomes da Silva

Today I compiled the stratagus from file: stratagus_2.2.5.5.orig.tar.gz
Using the defaults options:
./autogen.sh
./configure
make
sudo make install

After all build OK, but on run:
$ stratagus
Maybe you need to specify another gamepath with '-d /path/to/datadir'?

I already tried the -d option to the installation path, but no success... What can I do ?

Stratagus is only game engine. You need game data, see project page and Stratagus games: https://launchpad.net/stratagus

In directory /path/to/datadir/, file scripts/stratagus.lua should exist.
So
stratagus -d /path/to/datadir
should work

Can you help with this problem?
