stellarium.exe has stopped working?!

Asked by JenMorris

After clicking to open the Stellarium program, i get a black sceen and after a couple of seconds Windows pops up with this message...

strellarium.exe has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution becomes avalible.

I've uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled, reinstalled an older version, uninstalled and tried again with the current version. I've updated the drivers on my graphics card and cleaned the whole system - still with no luck.

I have Widows Vista on a laptop that has its own rubbishy graphics card - SiS Mirage 3 - 1GB RAM and 32-bit Operating System.

Any ideas as i would really love to be able to use this program!

Could you please try to run Stellarium in compatibility mode for Windows XP?

If this doesn't help, could you please try to run Stellarium as an administrator?

Have you installed or tried to install any additional star catalogs?

Does Stellarium manage to create a log? (It's a file called log.txt. On Vista, it should be in Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Stellarium.) If it does, please post the contents here.

I've tried running Stellarium in compatibility mode for XP and for running it as an administrator.
I've found the log.txt and below are the contents.

I'm not very good with computers, so if there are any obvious mistakes - sorry! :)

There is a new version 0.10.3, please try again with this one.
They are some known bug on windows for the new version, but a fix release 0.10.4 will occur very soon.
