planet label suppression in config.ini not working

Asked by John Tiffany

I'm trying to start the program (ver. 0.10.2) with the planet labels off (but with planets visible). The User Guide indicates to use [astro] flag_planets (User Guide="set to false to hide the planet labels on startup"). However, setting flag_planets to 'false' turns off both the labels and the planets themselves. Also tried changing flag_planets _hints to 'false' which did not work either. Is there a parameter in the [astro] section that controls planet label suppression that perhaps did not make it into the User Guide? (such as "flag_planet_name", or similar? actually, I tried that one, no luck).

Many Thanks,

According to the source code, the line is "flag_planets_labels". It seems that it hasn't been included in the default configuration file, so you need to add it manually.

It seems that the manual hasn't been properly updated after the release of 0.10.2. :(

Dear Bogdan,

Worked perfectly! Many thanks! I suspected that it was a documentation issue. All clear now.
