How to shift custom horizon alt-position

Asked by andreadinotte on 2009-11-22

Hi,

I've made my own custom horizon and I have found out that the horizon can be shifted in the azimuth axis (horizontally)
by adding an "angle_rotatez" value in the custom horizon ini file which is great!

My question: what I'd like to know is if there is code for shifting the horizon up or down.
I've tried adding an "alt_angle" value but it doesn't seem to work.

Any suggestions?

Here's what my custom ini file looks like:

[landscape]
name = Street
author = Andy
description = My garden
type = spherical
maptex = mygarden.png
angle_rotatez = 10
[location]
planet = Earth
latitude = +53d19'02"
longitude = +4d58'08"
altitude = 0

Hello.

As far as I know, the only way to shift the horizon in a "spherical" (actually, equirectangular) landscape is to modify the texture itself.

I had a look in the code: in /src/modules/Landscape.cpp, the LandscapeSpherical class accepts only angle_rotatez.

Can you help with this problem?
