Question on main activity period of Leonids

Asked by Carolin Bruederle

Hello,
while using the Stellarium App I discovered some big difference in the main activity period of the Leonids which made me wonder what's right or wrong.
In the Stellarium app it says the main activity period is from Feb 15 - March 10. But when I do some research in the internet every website says the main activity of the Leonides is from middle to the end of November.
So, firstly, I wonder what is right - Feb/March or November?
And, secondly, I wonder why Stellarium says Feb/March or if it means something totally different?
I'm no expert, therefore really confused now and would be very glad and thankful if you could explain this difference to me.
Many thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Carolin Brüderle

PS: Besides this, I love Stellarium, thanks for the app!

Thanks, Alexander, I didn't know that, was pretty confusing, especially cause the delta-leonids are the only ones showing up if you do a search for "leonids" in Stellarium :/.
