After downloading Stellarium 16 a message from my anti-virus came up in red, said WHOA sure you want to go there. Is this false?

Asked by Doug Chappa on 2017-07-28

Well, as I stated above.........after downloading the NEW Stellarium 0.16 Windows 10 64 bit software......my anti-virus software offered a message stating: WHOA sure you want to continue? Message was in "red". Download is 'sitting" in my download file unopened.

How should I proceed..........?

Thank you in advance for your reply.

gzotti suggests this article as an answer to your question:
FAQ #2890: “Unsigned installer: Dangerous to Download? Malware?”.

Thank you Mr. Zotti for your reply. I also thought this was a "anti-virus" anomaly. I never had problems or messages like the warning from having used (McAfee). I will proceed with this "new updated software".

Thank you very much for your time. Keep up the "great work" you and your Team are producing regarding
Stellarium..........it's awesome end user product. As you've guessed, I'm an Astronomer and rely upon this
SourceForge product.

Yes...........I did load it from the Stellarium.org SourceForge web-site.

Thank you again!! Have a great rest of the Summer!!
