Looking around using phone accelerometers in Stellarium Mobile

I recently got a Samsung J3, and wanted to use Stellarium on it. From a friends Ipad I knew that you could move the device around and look at different parts of the sky in the app. However, when I installed the app on my phone, it would only register up and down motions, and wouldn't turn as I turned around. Is there a way to fix this problem?
