Revelation 12 sign searcher

Asked by Julian Brasser

Hello development guys,

This question is related to the "Revelation 12 sign" that is (in a way) going to appear on the 23rd of September 2017. If you Google it, you will find it.

--- WHAT I'M TRYING TO ARCHIEVE AND WON'T SUCCEED QUICKLY WITHOUT YOUR HELP :
I want to be able to search for more (almost-a-match) occurences of that Sign, but I can't because the AstroCalc (when you type 'F10') is not detailed enough. Maybe some of you guys find it interesting to participate in the discussion by coding some search-stuff that can automatically search for those things.

I am a developer too, but not experienced in Stellarium and C++ and all the libraries used. So maybe you could at least help me out in case you don't want to participate.

--- NOW I'M EXPLAINING THE REVELATION 12 SIGN
It's a woman (Virgo), clothed with the sun and a crown of 12 stars (Leo + 3 planets). I've already figured out that the sun has to be at her shoulder, because otherwise Mercury couldn't appear in Leo. At the 23rd of september 2017, this will be: Mercury, Mars and Venus.

The woman has gotten a pregnancy of Jupiter. That would require Jupiter to stop right before the bottom of her belly (the line between star Heze and star Spica) to go retrograde. The total pregnancy fits within her belly (if you allow baby Jupiter to shine bright so that his brightness stays in touch with the lines drawn for the belly ;-) )

--- WHO AM I AND WHAT IS MY STORY
I'm now for 4 years intrigued by this sign. It all started with a video that counted 3.5 years back (Biblical period, Google it) from it and then drew conclusions on that (you guess).
Since then, I've adopted many speculations based on that Sign that didn't came true. But it was all based on this Revelation 12 sign.

There is a vivid community around this Revelation 12 Sign: for example:
- Facebook group "Signs and Seasons"
- Facebook group "Revelation 12 sign" (I'm the moderator of that).
- Many useful videos on Youtube

I study Software Engineering in the Netherlands.

I hope some of you guys will join with your talents and expertise. Maybe a revised AstroCalc?

Yours sincerely,

Julian

Stellarium aims to be scientific astronomy software. Its use in religious, prophetic, eschatological, astrological or similar context is not supported by its current developers, but of course the astronomical facts like positions of the (physical) planets in orbit around the sun as seen from the moving earth should be realistically computed. We have however not yet achieved perfect accuracy.

We have passed the year 2000, a couple of comet apparitions, the alleged end of the Maya calendar in 2012, now let's see what happens in September.

Stellarium is however open-source, and you can program, so just add what you need. Jupiter will go through Virgo roughly every 12th year. Just define a script to jump by 12 years (or by sidereal year length of Jupiter), assign it to a hotkey, and move through the centuries to search for opposition loops which look similar to whatever you are looking for.

Can you help with this problem?
