Stellarium

serial port

Atlas GT mount. Have used Stellarium many times with windows laptop to control mount and works great. Got newer laptop and no serial port. Got adapter for 232 to USB and downloaded virtual serial port software. Created COM1 and COM2. Stellarium seems to recognize and when select "start" in plugins shows "connected"....but doing "Control 1" or any other combination does not slew scope. Help! Using Windows 7

I have also noticed that the "connected" state sometimes is wrongly reported. The logfile may contain a message that could help.
