How can I give an anonymous star a custom name or otherwise mark it to quickly find it again?

Asked by Daniel

The star in question is so anonymous it doesn't even have an HIP label. It's just marked as "star". I had to locate it in Stellarium using its RA/Dec, but I don't want to type in that random set of numbers every time. Is there any way I can give it a custom name so I can quickly find it in the F3 window? Or some other way of "save this point in the sky" or "save this object" or "jump to this date and time and location" or whatever? (Without making it my default starting view, of course?)

You can use a bookmark. The star will remain unlabeled, but will be centered.
(Bookmarks must be activated in the Config panel.)

Where do I activate bookmarks? I don't see an option like this.

Please install version 0.90.0.9333 and use shortcut Alt+B (or enable
visibility of button for Bookmarks in the GUI).
