See the Moon in its natural phase

Asked by danielle ziebinski

Hi there,

I would like to view the Moon in Stellarium on particular dates and times and see its natural phase. When I use the search button to find the Moon at specific dates/times it always appears "full", but without topographical detail. I would like to know if the program supports being able to view the Moon in its natural phase, given a specific date and time and if the program would allow the details to identify certain topographical features such as dark patches like the Maria or Seas as well as other major lunar craters.

Thank You,
Dani Z

P.S. if at all possible, please also respond to <email address hidden>

Just change a zoom level for seeing the Moon without halo.

You may also want to play with artificial enlargement of the moon. In a wide sky view, the moon is in fact very small.

Can you help with this problem?
