Scale of sky dome

Asked by thierry.garreau@gmail.com

I've a small problem with Stellarium software and I would like to find an issue with you.

After applying my 360° panoramic home, I have checked if geographical point cardinal was correctly set and everything is correct.

But the sky dome scale is not as real, it's too wide on stellarium software, I would like to reduce it.

I do not speak about increasing of decreasing (zoom) the sky sight but the sky scale

I explain myself

Yesterday Night, I took a look of the sky above my home, and I could see Cassiopee wider than on stellarium software, and on

stellarium I saw the great bear while real I didn't see it

Could you help me ?

Thank you

Try the different projection settings, and switch on grids to get a proper feeling for the resulting scales. The horizon cuts off correctly, so when Stellarium is correctly configured to your site and date, it shows the Great Bear, and you don't see it in the sky, you have daylight, clouds or a building, tree, etc. in front.

Can you help with this problem?
