Adding nebula catalogue

How can I add the Sharpless catalogue so that it shows up items on the screen? - I can search on e.g. SH2-101 and it centres on something but does not give information nor use the square bracket to show where i am. In general hoe would I add a known star or nebula catalogue?

Sharpless catalogue already added since version 0.13.2.

I agree its there as I can search in it - trouble is that the search results do not put anyy info on the top left of the screen nor does the highlight boxappears around or near the target

You need using version 0.13.2 or above for correct handling Sharpless catalog within Stellarium.

OK - that did the trick but (sorry) now I am overwhelmed by other nebula listings crowding out the NGC/IC and SH named nebula - how do I limit the types of DSO catalogs it shows?

It's little complicated for good answer.

For version 0.13.3 you can use work-around from paragraph 3 from this FAQ: https://answers.launchpad.net/stellarium/+faq/2570

In general I'm working for the consolidated DSO catalog within Stellarium with GUI options for catalogues filters. This feature already working, but it not for public testing yet (I should finish incorporation of two catalogs).

I reverted to vs .12.4 as your solution was not working for me - look forward to vs .14 - many thanks
