How to take into account the diameter of a body in a landscape ?

Asked by Fred_76

Hi!

When we use landscapes on other bodies than Earth, the apparent horizon line does not change. It seems that the projection is made assuming Earth's data.

For example, I tried to use a landscape on several bodies, such as Earth, Moon, or even some smaller bodies like Charon and Nix but the look of the landscape dos not change, as if the observer was shrinked proportionnaly to the apparent size of the body compared to Earth.

How can I take into account the diameter of the body.

This question is related also with the bug I reported about stars not showing under the horizon.

Fred

The landscape horizon is where you configure it to be. The azimuthal grid contains the mathematical horizon.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horizon contains altitude formulae. -30° seem a bit Little Prince-ish, how large is "your" Nix?
The star issue is a bug, thanks for pointing it out.

Can you help with this problem?
